Bio!

Mason Pfister is a digital animator, illustrator, and fabricator. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Emerging Media Arts at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. In her work she explores insecurities that manifest within relationships.

Growing up in a small town in eastern Nebraska, Mason always had a love of art but was often told it was a hobby, not a career. After extensive research, and with the support of mentors and family, she decided to pursue her dream. Mason’s work is inspired by the world building, character creation, and storytelling seen in mid 2010s animated series like those on Cartoon Network and Disney Channel. Much like the shows she grew up with, she now strives to create stories that can be enjoyed by all ages, with themes that resonate deeply with teenagers and young adults.

Her work has been featured in the Eastern Midlands Conference Art Show, the Hot Shops Art Center, and the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.

Mason is currently producing the short animated film, One for Sorrow, Two for Joy, that seamlessly blends 2D and 3D animation and delves into themes of trust and self-doubt through a surreal extrapolation of a classic nursery rhyme.
