Bio!
Mason Pfister is a digital animator, illustrator, and fabricator studying at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts. In her work she explores interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, and the intricacies therein. Her work has been featured in the Eastern Midlands Conference Art Show, the Hot Shops Art Center, and the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.

She grew up in Bennington, Nebraska, and her experiences there greatly influenced her artistic journey, eventually leading her to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. At a young age Mason was greatly inspired by the skillful world building, character creation, and storytelling of animated media. She now strives to harness those skills and infuse her own voice to empower the next generation of animators and creatives. Faith is at the core of Mason’s work, and she believes creation is an act of worship. She is the proud recipient of the Nellie Bates Award, recognizing her dedication and involvement in her home church.

Mason is currently producing a short animated film with her peers that seamlessly blends 2D and 3D animation. The film, One for Sorrow, Two for Joy, delves into themes of trust and self-doubt through a surreal extrapolation of a classic nursery rhyme.
